With warm engineering at its heart I was the Honda account’s Design Director delivering a responsive pan-European digital platform across 22 markets encompassing 96 websites. 


We drew upon Honda’s rich brand history and contemporary relevance as inspiration to sell the Honda brand as much as its motors. I led a large design team and we created a robust solution that not only had template and module flexibility but it also supported 7 Honda product ranges.

EDITORIAL DESIGN

The design direction was based on the consumption of editorial content on a daily basis. We created bite-sized product stories and the visual assets drew from the product itself. We told engaging stories through engineering with warmth, colour and joy.

With Hondas 7 product rages across 22 markets it was important we created a flexible templates and components. Where the CMS user can manage page structure on template by template as well as appearance of components. 

For Honda bikes we developed darker tone solutions to support the expectation of the audience and above the line representation. 

PORTAL TAKE OVER

I also developed a campaign template take over to support Honda’s regular above the line ads. We opted for a rich whole page take over which allowed the user to engage with the advert’s message by learning more about the Honda heritage.
